E-Mentoring Pilot Program in Academic Internships: Effectiveness in Improving Participants’ Competencies

This research is interested in the role that mentoring can play as a strategy for academic and professional support internships of undergraduate students marketing program Colombian university, aiming to validate an e-mentoring model stimulate acquisition competencies internships. Thus, quantitative approach-related group pre-posttest experimental type study (a pilot study) was carried out program. The sample consisted 18 mentees with their respective mentors, who were evaluated three different phases (pretest mentee, posttest mentees, mentors). results showed positive results, especially four distinctive (project management, problem-solving, autonomous work, teamwork). On other hand, mentors confirmed elements associated high satisfaction through its design, purpose, training provided, level professional, logistical, technological support.
